Udupi: Builder Gets Extortion Calls in Bannanje Raja's Name

Udupi, Jun 14: A builder in the city has been allegedly receiving extortion calls by an unidentified person in the name of Bannaje Raja.

According to a complaint lodged by builder Sudhir Shetty, the person has been calling him repeatedly demanding money.

Shetty stated that he has been getting threat calls on the landline number in his office and on his mobile phone for the past one-and-a-half months.

The caller has been identifying himself as Bannanje Raja.

Udupi police are investigating.
