Bangalore: Court Summons C T Ravi in Corruption Case

Bangalore, Jun 14 (PTI): A Lokayukta Court here today ordered issue of summons to ruling BJP MLA C T Ravi, his wife and two others in connection with a private complaint accusing them of abuse of official power for "pecuniary gain".

Lokyukta Special Court judge N K Sudhindra Rao earlier rejected the "B" report (absolving the accused) filed by the Lokayukta police in the case for the second time and directed the four accused to appear before the court on July 2.

The court had on April 3 rejected the first "B" report on the ground that it was "contrary" to the documentary evidence and directed the police to conduct further probe in the case. The complaint was filed by one Deviprasad accusing the MLA and others of securing allotment of civic amenity sites and residential sites violating rules.

Besides Ravi and his wife, his sister and brother-in-law are the other two cited as accused.
