Mangalore, Jun 16: The feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus was celebrated at the chapel of Cloistered Carmel, Kankanady, on Friday June 15. Adoration of Blessed Sacrament was held ahead of the festal Eucharistic celebration.

Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza concelebrated the festal Eucharistic celebration at the chapel along with Infant Jesus Shrine superior Fr James Pius D’Souza, diocesan chancellor Fr Henry Sequeira, Carmelite priests Fr Deepak Tauro and Fr Gregory D’Souza, Fr Muller Charitable Institutions director Fr Patrick Rodrigues, administrator Fr Rudolph D’Sa, Fr Praveen, Fr Devdas Kamath, Fr Vincent Sequeira, Fr Roshan D’Souza, and St Joseph’s Seminary rector Fr Joseph Martis on the occasion.

The Bishop, in his homily, said that God is love, beyond the love of a mother for her children. The sacred heart of Jesus loves mankind despite the latter forgetting Him and all His graces.

The faithful from across the city deanery attended the festal Eucharistic celebrations in large numbers.
