Mangalore, Jun 16: Mangalore Headmasters and Principal Association general body meeting was held recently in Rosario Cultural Hall.
The general body meeting presided over by Usha Ballal, headmistress of Sri Ramakrishna High School was attended by 189 member schools of Mangalore city range, Mangalore taluk range and Moodabidiri taluk.
President of the meeting welcomed the gathering. Secretary and treasurer, Fr Lawrence D'Souza, headmaster of Cascia High School read the report and presented the annual budget. The election of the new president and team was conducted by Dr Ismail, principal of Badria College Mangalore.
The following were elected unanimously: Aloysius D'Souza, headmaster, Rosario High School, Mangalore (president), Sadashiva Shetty, headmaster, Swami Muktananda Paramahamsa High School Belwe, Moodbidiri (vice president), Fr Lawerence D'Souza, headmaster, Cascia High School, Mangalore (secretary and treasurer), MH Malar, headmaster, Tippu Sultan High School, Ullal, Mangalore was elected as the assistant secretary.

Newly elected president Aloysius D’Souza of Rozario High School thanked the gathering and requested the support of all concerned.
Sr Cicilia Mendonca proposed the vote of thanks.
Aloysius D'Souza joined service in 1984 and has nearly 27 years of teaching service. He was appointed headmaster of Rosario on April 1, 2007. He is a member Of Konkani text book committee. He received District Best Teacher Award in 2008 and won many prizes in drama and elocution He is well known in the education, literary and cultural fields of the region and is actively involved in many activities.
