Mangalore: ‘Effective Teaching’ Workshop to be Held for College Lecturers

Mangalore, Jun 19: A two-day workshop on ‘Effective Teaching’ for college lecturers will be organized at Besant Womens College, here on June 23, 24. The workshop is jointly organized by Sadhana Academy, a skill development and consultancy firm, Mangalore and Besant Womens College.

This workshop is focused on entry level teachers and to those who desire to enhance teaching skills in a professional manner. Renowned educationist in the field of teaching will conduct activities on the topics namely ‘Innovative teaching and learning’, ‘class room as public space’,’ learning styles’, ‘stress management’ etc.

Inaugural programme will be held on Saturday June 23 at 9.30 am at Besant Womens College.

Dr Shripathi Rao, retired chemistry professor, St Aloysius College and correspondent of Vikas PU College will deliver the keynote address. Professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Educational and Charitable Foundation will be the chief guest for the program. Dr Manjula K T, principal of Besant Womens College will preside over the function.

Professor Rolphi Mascarenhas, director, Kanachur Academy of General Education, Dr Robert Jose, principal, Sacred Heart College Madantyar, professor Pushparaj, principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kasargod, professor Udayakumar, SDM Law College will be the resource persons for the workshop.
