A Ride on Cloud 9 - Success Party of 'Ferrari ki Sawari'

Mumbai, Jun 21: Overwhelmed by the performance of Sharman Joshi in his latest flick 'Ferrari ki Sawari', father-in-law Prem Chopra hosted a congratulatory party at a plush Mumbai hotel.

The movie’s producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, director Rajesh Mapuskar were present at the party. Boman Irani along with Sharman and debut child artiste Ritvik Sahore were seen basking in the joy of their movie. Amitabh Bachchan in all his elegance congratulated the movie team with a big bouquet of flowers. Stars like Tushar Kapoor and his father Jeetendra, Salman Khan, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor graced the party. Veteran actor Manoj Kumar was also seen along with his family.

Being Sharman’s first solo hero film and with no female co-actor, the movie seems to have recovered its cost making approximately Rs 14 crore during the first couple of days of its release.

'Ferrari Ki Sawari' is a comedy drama which showcases the relationship between a father and a son. Film reviews state that the movie has an interesting sincere screenplay. Taran Adarsh, movie critic says that the movie makes us empathize with the characters.

Joshi states in an interview that he values the creative changes currently evolving in the hindi film industry. He mentioned that all kinds of cinema are being accepted these days. He is happy that his Pa-in-law has appreciated his work.

With only two known faces in the film, (i.e Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani ) , producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra was confident of the success of the film to such an extent that he rejected 25 crores towards the buying of satellite rights of the film. Chopra added saying that the satellite rights price would increase to 40 crore after the release of the film. He expected the film to be a dark horse but also an instant box office success.
