Los Angeles, Jun 25 (IANS): Actor Anthony Geary has all the reasons to celebrate as he has bagged his seventh Daytime Emmy Award, making him the only actor to have achieved the milestone so far.
The 65-year-old won the award for outstanding lead actor in drama series "General Hospital".
The awards were held in Los Angeles and later after award party was organised in the Beverly Hilton Hotel where Geary was the star, reports contactmusic.com
On the award night, the show had 23 nominations, but Geary's nomination as Dr, Spencer in the daily soap opera "General Hospital" was a easy win.
The show has been recorded in the Guinness World Records as the longest running American soap opera currently in production.
The show has also won the awards for outstanding drama series as well as the awards for supporting actor and actress for Jonathan Jackson and Nancy Lee Grahn respectively.
