Mukherjee to Step Down from Cabinet Tuesday

New Delhi, Jun 25 (IANS): United Progressive Alliance (UPA) presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Monday and announced that he would resign from the cabinet Tuesday.

"I met the Prime Minister. Tomorrow, I will be putting in my papers," Mukherjee told reporters outside his North Block office.
