I am not in a hurry to return: Yuvraj Singh


Bangalore, June 25 (IBNS) Amidst intensed media scrutiny India's star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who has recuperated from cancer, started his rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy here Monday.

Some 50 mediapersons arrived at the NCA nets Monday afternoon aniticipating Yuvraj would be around.

Besides Yuvraj, Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh and Varun Aaron were also training at the NCA.

"First, I need to get into shape," Yuvraj told reporters. "Let me start my practice sessions, play a couple of domestic matches, maybe a couple of tournaments in August. Let's see if I am fit for the World Cup."

"I am no where near my physical fitness. My aim is to regain my strength and then work on my fitness. I have started with cardio exercises. It will take another two months to get the strength back in my body," he said.

Yuvraj said he is not in a hurry.

"I will be staying here. I am not in a hurry anything. I promise I will be 100% fit and ready," he said.
