Udupi: Councils to Govern Temples- Verification Avowed

The State Government constituted state and district level bodies are going to begin administrating the muzrai temples.
 
The proposed Rajya Dharmika Parishat (state religious council) and Zilla Dharmika Parishats (district religious councils) took a step forward for  necessary action to constitute the amended Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act.
 
As per the act under Udupi jurisdiction ten A-grade temples are included:
 
Hosa Marigudi- Kaup,
Anantheshwara –Perudooru,
Durga Parameshwari- Mandarthi,
 Mahisha Mardhini –Neelavara,
Amrutheshwari- Katil,
Sri Janardhana Temple –Kaup,
Vishweshwara –Elloor,
Mahishmardhini- Kadiyali,
Subrahmanya- Kundapoor,
Durgaparameshwari - Munkur
 
To amend the act many temples put forward their request, along with their staff details including pooja Bhatt (worshiper), administrative officials, trustees and workers. The police verification is going on,on the basis of applications submitted.
