Mangalore, Jun 30:  Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy-a unit of Laxmi memorial educational trust celebrated its 15th Graduation Day and 19th Annual day on June 28 at A J Institute Dental Sciences, auditorium.

The chief guest for the function was  Dr Arunachalam Kumar, Dean, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore. A J Shetty, President, LMET presided over the function along with Prashanth Shetty Vice President LMET. Staff from other colleges, students, graduates and parents attended this occassion.

The program started with a graduation parade, prayer and lamp lighting ceremony by the guests. Dr Hima Lecturer of LMCP welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest and other delegates, followed by the annual report for the academic year 2011-12 delivered by Dr S Arul Dhanaraj, professor, principal, Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy. This was followed by the graduation of 48 graduates of Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

The chief guest Dr Arunachalam Kumar released the college Magazine “Saggezza-2012” and gave an enlightening speech.

The outstanding students in academics, sports and cultural events were applauded with certificates, trophies and cash prizes. A J Shetty delivered the presidential address and he congratulated the award winners. He appreciated the service of the students for the quality of physiotherapy treatment given at A J Hospital and research center. Dr Saravana Hari Ganesh assistant professor, LMCP delivered the vote of thanks, followed by cultural performances by the students.
