Mumbai, Jun 30 (IANS): Yesteryear's superstar Rajesh Khanna, who is being treated in Lilavati Hospital for the past week, is fine but is undergoing some tests, according to hospital sources.

"Rajesh Khanna is fine now. He has not been released from the hospital, but is not in ICU. He is undergoing some tests at the moment. That's all we can reveal right now," a source from the hospital told IANS.

The 69-year-old, fondly called "Kaka" by his fans, was admitted to the hospital last Saturday and has been undergoing treatment since then. His estranged wife, actress Dimple Kapadia, has been taking care of him.

He has been battling health issues for quite some time. In April, he was admitted to the hospital when he had complained of weakness and was discharged in three to four days.

Recently, after the news of his ill-health spread, worried fans lined up outside his house. However, Rajesh Khanna happily obliged by waving to them and showing them the 'V' for victory sign from the balcony of his house, assuring them that he is fine.

Rajesh Khanna married Dimple in 1973 and separated in 1984. They have two daughters - Twinkle and Rinke.
