Mangalore: A J Institute to Start MCh Course in Plastic Surgery

Mangalore, Jul 6:
The government of India and Medical Council of India (MCI) has granted permission to start MCh plastic surgery super-speciality course at A J Institute of Medical Sciences.

This is the first ever DM/MCh super-speciality course being started in the city. Adding to it, this is the only plastic surgery department in the coastal region to start MCh course other than Bangalore and Belgaum.

DM/MCh is the highest degree awarded in medical education after completing post graduation in MD/MS. The course period is three years and A J Medical College will be admitting one student annually.

The plastic surgery department headed by Dr Dinesh Kadam of the A J is well known in the country and has been performing micro vascular, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries. It also holds free plastic surgery camps in remote places to treat cleft and palate children in association with Smile Train, New York.

    Dr dineah kadam is a humble personality.i got my 11 month daughter admitted there after a lot of inquiries in manipal and hubli.One good friend of mine suggested me to him and he took care of my daughter in the best way.he is soft spoken and has a good hand at surgery.All i can say that he is best surgeon in his field and you will find him to the beat of standards.May god vless him and give him safe health and guide him in all his affairs.

    Dr Dinesh Kadam is a highly qualified, dedicated, sincere and above all a very humble personality. He was instrumental in successful surgical correction of cancer affected jaw of my young cousin. May the institute generate successful plastic surgeons under his able stewardship.
