Los Angeles, Jul 8 (IANS): If reports are to be believed, Walt Disney studios is planning to develop a sequel to 1993 Halloween-themed comedy "Hocus Pocus".
According to the reports, the sequel will be titled "Hocus Pocus 2: Rise of the Elderwitch" and is likely to feature new cast members.
The story is said to be an "all-new tale, though set in the same surrounds as the first film and likely tackling similar territory," reports aceshowbiz.com.
Directed by Kenny Ortega, the original "Hocus Pocus" featured Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and Bette Midler.
The film was about three witch sisters who after 300 years are resurrected in Salem Massachusetts on Halloween night by a teenager named Max. After waking the witches up, Max must risk his life to protect his sister and defeat them with the help of a classmate crush and an immortal black cat.
