Udupi: Six Injured as Maxi Cab Rolls off NH 66 Near Santhekatte

Udupi, Jul 14: A tourist maxi cab 407 rolled over and fell off the national highway 66 near Santhekatte-Kallianpur here on Saturday July 14 at around 9 pm.

The maxi cab (KA 06 C 6097) was carrying 20 passengers from Annengudde Temple in Kundapur to Sri Krishna Math in Udupi.

Six passengers were injured in the incident.

The accident occured when the maxi cab moved to the edge of the road to give way to another vehicle. The driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over into the gorge, plunging to a depth of 20 feet.

The road has been under construction from a long time.

The injured were shifted to a hospital in Udupi with the help the locals.

Udupi traffic police arrived at the spot and cleared the traffic.
