Pune, Jul 17 (IANS): A Shiv Sena leader was killed by unidentified assailants as he was returning home from the party office on the outskirts of the city, police said here Tuesday.
The victim, Pandurang Ambike, 42, was the branch head of party's Haveli taluka on the outskirts of Pune city.
"Ambike was attacked by three unidentified men (Monday night) while he was driving home on his two-wheeler. The attackers first stopped him and then hit him on his head and arms with a sharp object," an officer from the Haveli police station told IANS.
Police is awaiting the post-mortem report.
