Udupi: Scholar Katte Vadiraja Acharya Dies at 84

Udupi, Jul 19: Katte Vadiraja Acharya (84), veteran scholar and brother of the late Dr V S Acharya, passed away in his residence on Wednesday July 18.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.

KV Acharya served as a teacher in Alevoor Nehru government school and Kadiyaalu U Kamalabai School for several years. After retirement he served in Kunjibetty TMA Pai English Medium School.

He had masters degrees in Sanskrit, Kannada and Hindi, and Navina Nyaya Shiromani degree in Sanskrit.
