Bantwal: Police Seize Truck Illegally Transporting Timber

Bantwal, Jul 24: Vittal police on Monday July 23 seized a truck that was illegally transporting timber logs to Kerala.

On a sure tip-off, the policemen led by sub-inspector Jayaraj Ullal intercepted a truck carrying contraband timber at Chandalika via the Salettoor road to Kerala.  The accused abandoned the truck and fled the scene.


The police seized the truck and timber worth Rs 30,000 and investigations are underway to identify the owner of the truck.
