Doha, Jul 27: The closing ceremony of Karnataka Sangha Qatar's ‘Youth Leadership Programme -2012’ was recently held at Mumbai Hall, Indian Cultural Centre.
KSQ in association with Talking Matters Toast Masters Club organized the event to provide opportunity to the children hailing from the state of Karnataka, who stay back in Qatar during summer holidays. The programme which began on July 4 received good response with 17 children taking part.
The aim of the programme was to provide a platform to children so that they communicate well to become better leaders in the future.
The final day session was managed by YLP Toast Masters. The children captivated the gathered audience with their scintillating performance.
KSQ president V S Mannangi, in his welcome speech emphasized on the need of having effective communication in the present-day world and thanked Talking Matters Toastmasters Club for joining hands with KSQ for providing opportunity to the children to enhance their communication skills.
TM Javeed Khan was the main co-coordinator of the event. He was assisted by TM Mahesh Gowda and Gav Farheen Javeed Khan.
Ekta Bhatnagar, president of Talking Matters Toast Master Club, TM Manzoor Moideen, divisional governor, TM Shyam Sundar, area governor, V S Mannangi, president of KSQ, Manjunath Rao, KSQ children co-ordinator, Manjunath C R, KSQ cultural secretary were present on the dais to distribute certificates to the children. KSQ presented mementos to the TM's involved in organizing the event.
Dr Sanjay Kudari, vice-president of KSQ, Ravi Shetty, president of Bunts Qatar and many committee members of KSQ and Talking Toast Masters were present.
Deepak Shetty, general secretary of KSQ proposed the vote of thanks.
