Los Angeles, Jul 28 (IANS): Actor Mel Gibson's former family mansion, located in Connecticut, is being sold for $33 million.
Gibson shared the home with his former wife Robyn and their seven children until their bitter divorce in 2011.
It has now been put on the market by its present owner for $9 million more than the amount for which he bought it two years ago, reports contactmusic.com.
The Tudor-style mansion in Greenwich was built in 1926 and includes 15 bedrooms. It boasts period detail including 17th century English oak panelling, walk-in fireplaces, exposed beams and leaded glass windows.
The main living area is a vast hall with a 12-metre-high cathedral ceiling and a huge fireplace. The house also has a swimming pool.
Gibson, who had to give up half of his estimated $850 million fortune to Robyn during their divorce, bought the house with her in 1994. But he put it up for sale for $39.5 million in 2007.
It wasn't sold until 2010 when it finally went for $24 million.
The actor also recently put his and Robyn's estate in Malibu, California, up for sale at $11.8 million. But it is yet to find a buyer.
