Afghan Governor Shot Dead


Kabul, Jul 29 (IANS): A governor of an Afghan district was shot dead by the Taliban Sunday, an official said.

Mohammad Ismael Wafa, the governor of Chak district, some 30 from Kabul, was on his way to office when militants opened fire at his vehicle, Xinhua reported. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
