Udupi, Jul 29: “The RTO and RTA offices are going to be shifted in the month of September 2012,” said RTO officer Ramesh in the Municipal Council meeting (CMC) on Saturday July 28.

He said that now the public is facing problems in going to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) at one end and Road Transport Authority (RTA) on the other end of the building when they come to get licenses, license renewal, registration etc. “Considering the trouble, now both the departments will move to the DC office, Rajathathri, Manipal, and work in the same building,” added Ramesh.

“Soon, there will be a provision to change the driving track too; RTO is looking for 4 to 5 acres of government land for this purpose,” he added.
