Mumbai, Aug 1 (IANS): Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, who is in the hospital for the last one month, is recovering after a bypass surgery and will be discharged soon, his son Kush said.
Kush told IANS: "Dad is doing great. He is much better now. There is a good progress in his health. No complaints from our end."
"The discharge date is not yet confirmed. But the doctors have given the green signal. It's just that he is getting good rest over here, so it is up to him and us... it can be anytime soon," he further added.
The 66-year-old was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in suburban Andheri July 2 after he complained of breathlessness due to some paint work at his residence.
During investigation, blockages were discovered in the coronary arteries and based on medical advice, he underwent surgery.
Bihar born Sinha is fondly called Bihari Babu and Shotgun and he is also known for his mellifluous voice that helped him carve a niche for himself in Bollywood after making a debut in 1969 with "Sajan". Some of his popular Hindi films include "Kalicharan", "Vishwanath", "Blackmail", "Dostana", "Shaan" and "Kala Patthar".
In his over four-decade long career, he has acted in over 200 Hindi films, besides being a part of some Bengali and Punjabi movies.
