Bantwal, Aug 3: “The educate women should work towards ridding society of its evils. Women play an important role in society and family and deserve respect”, said Sadvi Matanandamayee of Gurudev Mutt, Odiyoor.

Sadvi Matanandamayee was speaking at Varamahalaxmi Puja celebrations held at Vishnumurti Temple, Peraje, here on Thursday August 2.  The Puja was organized jointly by Mahalaxmi Mahila Seva Samiti and Chamundeshwari Seva Trust.

Mahalaxmi Seva Samiti president Bharati J Peraje. gram panchayat members Sundari Anand Shetty, Baby Padmanabha, Lelavati Devdas, Srinivas Poojary, B T Narayan Bhat, Srikant Alva, Raghav Padmanabha Gowda, Harish Rai and many others were present on the occasion.

Prema welcomed the gathering. Umesh compered the programme.
