Mangalore: Victor Menezes Elected New President of Christopher Association

Mangalore, Aug 6: Victor Menezes was elected as the new president of Christopher Association, during the forty-sixth annual general body meeting held at Rosario Cultural Hall, here on Sunday August 5.

The other elected members: Susheel Noronha (honorary president), Francis D’Souza (vice president), Herald D’Souza (secretary), Raymond D’Cunha (joint secretary), Fr Stany Goveas (treasurer).

Earlier during the day, Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza offered Thanksgiving Mass. He blessed the automobiles at the church premises. He also presided over the programme held after the Holy Mass.

Arun Furtado, KAS officer and executive head of Christian development department was the chief guest for the occasion. He offered information on state benefits meant for Christians and urged the community to apply in order to avail the benefits.

SSLC toppers Asha Melita D’Souza and Austin Pinto, BCom sixth rank holder Joyce D’Souza, BCom distinction passed Jesline M D’Souza, BSc distinction passed Sheethal R Veigas, B E distinction passed Jasline Maria Tauro, Joel Andrew Sequeira and Clarissa Serrao were felicitated during the programme. 

Susheel Noronha welcomed the gathering.  Victor Menezes proposed the vote of thanks. Raymond D’Cunha compered the programme.
