Los Angeles, Aug 8 (IANS): Hollywood star Brad Pitt has bought his adopted son Maddox a motorbike on his 11th birthday.

Maddox, who turned 11 Sunday, received a Suzuki DRZ-125 motocross bike at their rented home in Surrey during the recent weekend, reports thesun.co.uk.

If that wasn't enough, Pitt has even had a motocross trail built in the extensive grounds of fields and woods at their Chateau Miraval in France.

"B"ad's'always been a generous dad and as Maddox has shown a keen interest in bikes, he thought he may as well get him started," said a source.

"H" was down at the house the other week and got the builders to dig him a muddy trail all through the woods and around the lake. Brad was just as excited as Maddox about it, though - he's'put in little jumps and puddles so they'l' get really muddy," the source added.

Pitt has also made sure Maddox stays safe.

"'the bike has an automatic clutch and, of course, Brad' bought him his own helmet and protective gear. Brad took him into the garage and there the bike was with a bow on it.

"Maddox was over the moon and couldn't' wait to try it out. He was riding it around all day at the house, tearing up the lawn,""said the source.

Pitt, who is himself fond of bikes, was first clicked eyeing kids' bikes in June.
