Mangalore: ISKCON Celebrates Sri Krishna Janmashtami

Mangalore, Aug 10: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) celebrated the ‘Sri Krishna Janmastami’ festival on Friday August 10 at Devadiga Samaj Bhavan, Mannagudda, here.

The festival commenced with the morning Darshana Arati and Alankara Puja followed by Rajbogh Arati in the afternoon. In the evening Sandhya Arati will be conducted. In between there was recital of Bhajans and chanting of Kirtans. The festival culminated with the Maha Abhisheka and Mangala Arati.

Thousands of devotees offered prayers and had darshan of Lord Krishna and accepted prasadam.

The ISKCON president Karunyasagar Das supervised the whole programme.
