KE Bangalore Organizes One-day Seminar for Entrepreneurs

Bangalore, Aug 14: KE Bangalore organized a one-day seminar recently at Hotel Royal Orchid and imparted with practical and time-tested insights to transform and sharpen business and become a resonant success. Sixty five KE members and guests earnestly took part in the event. The main purpose of the seminar was to provide opportunities to entrepreneurs to learn from experts to benefit their business ventures.

Director Mentoring George Timothy gave opening remarks on the seminar. Motivational speaker, trainer and author, Claudius Pereira, Director Systemtech, spoke on the topic ‘Embracing Success – Communicate to Excel’.

Claudius said that today world is controlled by power of communication. It is important to develop knowledge, skills and positive attitudes to achieve success. He explained the importance of various fundamentals in successful communication.

KE President Elect Mark D’Souza, Chartered Accountant, spoke about the significance of Succession Planning. Every entrepreneur has to plan succession as if he is retiring today. This is the key aspect in every business, he said. He also went through subjects like process of succession, workforce planning, business succession plan, wealth management plan, components of business succession plan, identifying successors, strategies for maximizing valuation of business, family involvement in the process and also implementation and follow up in the succession plan.

CEO of Right Horizons Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. Anil Francis Rego made a presentation on Business Financial Planning. He explained the importance of business planning, business planning process, strategic planning, marketing planning, operational planning, financial planning etc.

Former Vice-President of Volvo, Clarence D’souza made a presentation on employee engagement. In his presentation, he went through different aspects like Employee engagement V/s employee satisfaction, drivers of employee engagement etc. With a case study of Volvo, he gave the best examples for HR related solutions.

During the second half of the day, KE President and former Principal Secretary of Karnataka Legislature Robinson D’Souza gave an interesting and invaluable presentation on ‘Importance of Wills’. His presentation included various aspects about Wills, their importance in these stress filled days to maintain family unity, need to make and review wills, etc. Through this interactive session, entrepreneurs got a rare opportunity to learn this important subject.

Dr Anthony Pais, HOD of Surgery and Breast Oncology at Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Centre gave a presentation on ‘Health tips for Entrepreneurs’. He said “Best way to get a healthy life is to simplify the life.

KE Director Finance Adrian D’Souza, Deccan Group gave a presentation on the ‘Art of Negotiations’. He explained the key aspects in negotiations, types of negotiations, important things to be kept in mind while going for negotiation and others.

KE has been helping young entrepreneurs to rise in their businesses. KE facilitates opportunities in nurturing entrepreneurship. This full day interactive seminar became extremely helpful to the entrepreneurs and guests to gain a lot of knowledge to transform and sharpen their business skills. It also helped to furnish entrepreneurs a much needed boost.
