Mangalore, Aug 16: St Joseph Industrial institute bid farewell to 32 ITI trainees on Tuesday August 14 at the St Joseph College Auditorium Jeppu.
Dolphy Prashanth D’Souza from Bantwal a well known social worker and promising leader of the people was the chief guest. On the occasion he advised the trainees to learn to understand the dignity of labor.
One should not feel ashamed to do any work for themselves and to add to the good of the society. There was a time when people were seen doing all categories of work in the villages. They were not ashamed to render their services for their family and their surroundings.
In each family both the elders and young people used to work in the fields but today times have changed and values have been lost in busy lives. He insisted that the outgoing students must take note of the importance and dignity of labor.
He also said that the Indian economy is fast growing hence there are lots of opportunities in the present industrial sector and jobs are also guaranteed to all the industrial trainees. Both state and Central governments give a lot of importance to technical education. Later he rewarded certificates to all the outgoing students.
Fr J B Crasta, the director of the St Joseph Industrial institute presided over the valedictory function he said that the disciplined life will bear much fruits sooner or later. He advised the outgoing students to be responsible citizens in contributing their share towards the growth of the national economy.
He appreciated the hard work the students put in and he also congratulated for them for already securing jobs in various companies across the State, National and Multinational companies. He especially thanked Mahindra and Mahindra Company for giving regular training to the students of Diesel Mechanic in St Joseph Industrial institute through Karnataka Agencies of Jeppu.
Jasper D’Souza appreciated the students for their hard work and dedication. He welcomed the gathering and also said that Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, TATA and Volo companies have shown great interest in trainees.
Jasper said that SJITI is one of the unique Institutes in Dakshina Kannada districts imparting training in Diesel Mechanic, Turner, Fitter and Motor Machinist and Carpentry.
