Udupi: DCIB Police Catch Drug Peddler, Seize Ganja

Udupi, Aug 19: District crime intelligence bureau (DCIB) officials on Sunday August 19 arrested a youth for possessing ganja worth Rs 6,000.

Stanley Sandeep (23), a resident of Indiranagar, Kukkikatte, was caught red-handed while waiting for his customers near Konkan Railway Officers Rest House in Indrali, Shivalli village here.

The police seized 325 grams of ganja, Rs 110 in cash and a cell phone from Stanley.

It is said that the accused used to get ganja from Manjeshwar in Kerala and supply it to students and other people in different places. As per information, the police caught the accused and seized ganja worth Rs 6,000 and others items and handed him over to the Manipal police station.

The operation was led by Udupi DCIB inspector Ganesh M Hegde.

A case has been registered in Manipal police station.
