Russian Martial Arts Champ wanted for Man's Death


Kiev, Aug 23 (IANS/RIA Novosti): A Russian martial arts champion is wanted by police in connection with an incident at a beach resort which left a man dead, Ukrainian police said Wednesday.

Stanislav Molodtsov, who has reportedly won titles in the martial arts of sambo and pankration, is suspected of causing serious injuries to a member of the military who later died in hospital.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at a bar in a seaside village near the Ukrainian city of Sevastopol.

"Stanislav Molodtsov, a multiple winner of sambo and pankration championships, caused serious bodily harm to a 24-year-old contracted serviceman," a statement on the Sevastopol police website said.
