Mumbai: Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha Maharastra Elects New Office Bearers

Mumbai, Aug 28:
The office bearers of Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha, Maharastra for the year 2012-2015 have been elected. Karnataka Malla Kannada Daily’s editor and union’s present president Chandrashekar Paletthady and Rons Bantwal have been re-elected for the posts of president and honorary chief secretary respectively.
 
At the fourth annual general body meeting of the union held at Samarasa Bhavana, Matunga (West) last Sunday, returning officer Justice Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty conducted the election and announced the names of 15 members of the working committee for the year 2012 to 2015.

Janardhan Puriya (member), Babu Belchada (member), Jaya C.Poojary (member)

Daya Sagar Chowta, news editor of Reliance R world Kannada news was as elected the vice president. Harish K Hejmady, assistant editor, Akshyaya monthly was elected the secretary. G P Kusuma, former editor of Mogaveera monthly was elected as honorary treasurer. Premanath B Shetty Mundkur, editor of Bantaravani monthly was elected as the joint secretary and Pilaru Suresh Acharya, sub editor of Udayavani daily as the joint treasurer.
 
Lawrence Coelho, editor of Divo Konkani weekly, Savitha S Shetty, former sub editor of Karnataka Malla, K N Suresh, chief of Dehali Varthe Kannada daily, Shyam M Hande, Gurudath S Punja Mundkur, reporter of Karnataka Malla, Janardhan S Puriya, editor of Parivarthana Suddhi, Babu K Belchada, assistant editor of Thiya Jyothi were elected as working members and Jaya C Poojary (Press Club, Mumbai) were elected as the working president of sports committee.
 
Justice Vasanth S Kalakoti, senior reporter of Samyukta Karnataka, CA Ulloorugutthu Shankar M Shetty, senior chartered accountant, and advisory committee members Justice Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, CA I R Shetty, Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, Dr R K Shetty, Dr Sunitha M Shetty, Justice B Mohiddin Mundkur, Justice Rohini J Salian will resume in the posts of special invited members.

    Meanwhile, I also request Palethady to Publish E-paper / Internet Edition of Karnataka Malla, the number-one Kannada Daily of Mumbai, for the benefit of Kannadiga Readers abroad, if the same is financially viable .
