Land Acquisition Bill Referred to Group of Ministers


New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS): The cabinet Tuesday referred the land acquisition bill to a group of ministers and approved amendments to two other bills and one act, official sources said.

"We have referred the land acquisition bill (Right to Fair Compensation, Resettlement and Rehabilitation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Bill, 2012) to a group of ministers (GoM) as it needed some time for consultation," said an official.

The cabinet also approved amendments to the Accreditation Regulatory Authority Bill and the Educational Tribunals Bill, 2010.

Amendment has also been approved to the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act.
