Bangladeshi Airman Finds Cash Missing in Lucknow

Lucknow, Aug 29 (IANS): A Bangladeshi flying officer has lodged a complaint that cash was stolen from his luggage in the Uttar Pradesh capital, police said Wednesday.

Tanveer Hassan is part of a delegation of officers from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh training at Indian Air Force's Memora station.

Hassan told police Tuesday night that more than $1,000 and some Indian currency were missing from his luggage kept at his quarters at the station officers' mess. He shared his room with a Sri Lankan officer.

Police said the theft could be the handiwork of a helper who cleaned the room.
