One Direction Settles Lawsuit

Los Angeles, Sep 5 (IANS): British band One Direction have settled a lawsuit filed by a US band accusing the former of copying their name.

The US band has decided to change its name to Uncharted Stones.

The popular British band got stuck in the legal battle over their name after they gained recognition in the British version of reality show "X Factor" in 2010.

The US band filed a trademark lawsuit against the British band and Simon Cowell, judge of "X-Factor", but the British band answered with a counter suit, reports contactmusic.com.

The five-member British band consists of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
