Mumbai: Goregaon Karnataka Sangh Holds Workshop on Drama Theatre

Mumbai, Sep 14:
"Involvement of youth in associations can be increased by organizing workshops on drama theater said", Ramesh Shetty, president of Goregaon Karnataka Sagh.
 
He was speaking after inaugurating the workshop organized by proscenium and library department at Mini Hall in Goregaon (West) on Wednesday September 12.

Ramesh said that the proscenium and library department was formed under the presidency of Ravi Anchan. “It is a proud moment for us as Sadanand Suvarna, drama legend is the director of proscenium”, he added.
 
Dr Manjunath, prominent theatre director was the resource person. The workshop was conducted for about two-and-a-half hours which comprised of acting, mimicry, singing, dance, laughter and many others.
 
Ahalya Ballal, artist of Mumbai theatre group, Avinash Kamath, theatre artist and Gopal Thrasi, poet and writer recited the play ‘Tugluk’, by Girish Karnad, which was later performed by Ramesh Shivapur and Satyabaama Nidvannaya.
 
During the workshop, Gopal Thrasi asked the participants of the workshop to send their write-ups in 20 to 30 pages by October 31.
