Mumbai: Mangalorean Milagres Society to Celebrate Centenary Year

Mumbai, Sep 17: The Mangalorean Milagres Society which was established in the year 1913 will be completing 100 years of its existence on January 2013.

At the annual general body meeting held on October 16 2011 and also at the special general body meeting held on May 6 earlier this year, it was decided to celebrate the centenary jubilee society on a grand scale.

In lieu of this celebration, various programmes will be conducted in preparation for the grand celebration. The ‘Nativity of our Blessed Virgin Mary’ (Monthi Feast), will be celebrated at Milagres House, Bandra, on September 19, at 6.30 pm.

A cultural program (drama in Konkani language) will be showcased at Rangshardha Hall, Bandra, on October 7, at 1.45 pm.

In honour of Our Lady of Milagres a thanksgiving mass will be held at Milagres Church (now Cathedral) at Kallianpur, Udupi, on Sunday October 21, at 10.30 am.

Another thanksgiving mass in honour of Our Lady of Milagres and the centenary jubilee celebration along with social programs will be conducted at Apostolic Carmel High School Ground, Bandra, Mumbai on January 27, 2013.
