Mumbai, Sep 18: Having served as a one-stop hub in electronic appliances for more than 25 years, Malaika group opened its new store at Krishna complex in Nalasopara (East) on Monday September 17.
The new store was inaugurated by Hitendra V Thakur, former minster and president of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi.
Fr Agnello Lawrence, parish priest of St Francis De Sales church blessed the new premises and Fr Robert Fernandes, principal of St Francis De Sales institution conducted prayers.
Harry B Cutinho, president of Konkani Catholic Association offered special gifts to the first customer.
Gilbert Baptist, director of Malaika group welcomed the gathering. In his introductory remarks, Baptist said that Malaika group has its own ‘Yosoma' brand which produces induction cooker, water purifier, mixer grinders and other appliances at reasonable prices. The brand has attracted customers in large numbers, he added.
He also announced attractive discounts on various other brands offered in the store and asked customers to make best use of it.
Virar Shankar Shetty, honorary president of Mira Dahanu bunts, Sagir Dange, vice mayor of Virar municipal corporation, Umesh Nayak, speaker, Narayan Mankar, Jeethubhai Shah, Jeethu Pardesi were the main guests.
Marceline Baptist, director welcomed the guests by offering flowers, King Edward compered and Malaika G Baptist proposed the vote of thanks.
