Mumbai: Dr Augustine Pinto of Ryan Group Gets Giants International Award

Mumbai, Sep 18: Dr Augustine F Pinto, educationist and founder president of Ryan International Group of Institutions was conferred the Giants International Award on the occasion of the 40th anniversary celebrations of Giant International

The ceremony was held at Trident (Oberoi) Hotel near Nariman Point on Monday September 17.

The list of awardees included eminent personalities like Chethan Bhagat (author), Karan Johar (cinema), Shankar-Eshaan-Loy (music), Dr Sunil Parek (medicine), Rahul Kanwal (electronic media), Rajju Shroff (business and industry), and Sindhutai Sapkal (social service).

Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman was honoured with the Giants International Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr Augustine was conferred the award for his contribution to the field of education.

Harshavardhan Patil, minister for cooperation and parliamentary affairs, Maharashtra was the chief guest. He also handed over the awards.

Nana Chudasama, working president of Giants International, Nooruddin A Sevalha, vice-president, and Shaina N C, prominent designer were present.

Nooruddin A Sevalha welcomed the gathering and Hugo D’Souza compered.

Anwar Tayub, Vijay Mumar Chaudary, SP Chaturvedhi, Siris Kapadia, Praful C Joshi, Baldev J Patel, Rajesh C Joshi, MLA Raj Purohit, Grace Pinto, educationist, Ryan Pinto, Kiran Shantharam among others were present.

    Great pictures mr. Bantwal.

    It would be nice if there was mention of names under each awardee photograph so as to identify who they are.
