Mumbai, Sep 18: Konkani Catholic Welfare Association, Bhayandar celebrated  Montifest on Sunday 16th September, 2012 at Our Lady of Nazareth School Hall Bhayandar West.

Celebrations started with offering flowers near the Decorative Statue at 8.30 a.m. followed by the Konkani mass. Rev. Fr. Antony Banz, assistant parish priest of Our Lady of Nazareth Church celebrated the mass.





 


After the mass newly elected Mayor of Mira Bhayandar Mumcipal  Corporation Mrs. Cathline Antony Pereira and Mrs.Gretta Ferrao, corporate, MBMC were felicitated.

A variety Konkani entertainment programme was presented by small children, youths & elders. Konkani songs were sung by Alban Pereira, Priyanka Baretto, Cleford, Aurther & Graccy Vegas, Velonia Pereira & John Crasta.

A  Konkani skit played by small children Prinston, Aldren & Aldrich was appreciated by ordinance.  Association members played two skits “Besto Dubav” & “Control Na” written by Joseph D’Souza, Borivali. Actors George Sequeira, Ronald D’Costa, Ida Periera, Cloty Sequeira & Leena Corda which enjoyed by all.

At the occasion a Membership I Card issued to all registered members of the Association.  At the end all people present enjoyed traditional Novem Jevonn food and people left the venue recollecting sweet memories of their native  place  Mr.George Sequeira, President of KCWA compered programme beautifully.
