Government Not in any Danger: Soni

New Delhi, Sep 19 (IANS): The UPA government is in no danger, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni asserted Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters after a Congress core group meeting here, Soni said the United Progressive Alliance "government is not in any danger... the numbers favour us".

She added that the Congress was in talks with alliance partners.

Her comments came a day after the Trinamool Congress announced its decision to quit the government over last week's decision to hike the price of diesel, cap availability of subsidised domestic gas cylinders and to allow foreign investment in multi-brand retail.
