Mumbai, Sep 20: Karnataka Vishwakarma Association celebrated Vishwakarma Mahotsav at Janaki Bai hall in Bhavan’s College, Andheri (West) on Sunday September 16.

Shree Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji of Palimar Mutt graced the occasion.

As a part of the celebration, Vedamurthi Balakrishna Purohit performed Shree Vishwakarma Homa and Maha Mangalaarathi. J T Aacharya and couple Usha J Acharya took part in the Homa rituals. Vedamurthi Shankarnath Acharya performed the puja rituals.

Gopalkrishna Acharya, Prasannna Acharya, V Damodhar Acharya, Prashanth Acharya, Chethana Prashanth Acharya, Anil and Prashanth Acharya were also part of the various puja rituals.

Association president Nitte Daamodhar Acharya, honorary secretary Prasad Acharya and Pradeep Acharya felicitated sportsperson S V Sanil who represented India in the Olympics recently held in London. Lucky dip draw was held and prizes were distributed.

Prior to the utsav day, women’s wing organized flower garland making competition.

As part of the programme, bhajans were conducted by the executive committee of the association along with the members of women’s forum, Shree Vishwakarma Kalikamba Bajanavrandha, Kandivili, Shree Lalithamba Bhajana Mandali, Borivili. Various other programmes were also organized.

Former presidents, Janardhan T Acharya, GT Acharya, Upendra Acharya, vice president, Harish G Acharya, treasurer, Krishna V Acharya, Usha Munnur, secretary of women’s wing, Nithin P Acharya, youth secretary, Ravish Acharya, Sridar V Acharya, PJ Acharya, Ganesh Kumar, Janardhan Acharya, Mahabala A Acharya among many others were present.
