St John Engg Students Among Top Ten in Mumbai University Exams

Mumbai, Sep 25: The first batch of students of St John College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET) run by Aldel Education Trust, have achieved excellent results in the University of Mumbai final year examinations held in May 2012.
In civil engineering, Nair Akhilesh Shivaraman (5th rank) and Vishwakarma Ashish Kumar (10th rank) were among the top ten rankers of the University of Mumbai.
Aldel Education Trust established St John Technical Campus at Vevoor, Palghar (E) in 2008.
The first batch of students of St John Institute of Pharmacy and Research also achieved 74% results in the University of Mumbai final year examinations held in May 2012
Many of the successful students in both the colleges have taken admission for higher studies. The engineering students have been placed in reputable organizations like Oracle and Syntel. The pharmacy students have also been placed in reputable pharmaceutical companies like Alembic, Abott, Alkem etc.
In 2010, St John Institute of Management and Research was inaugurated. The first batch of students appeared for the final year examinations in May 2012. The college has achieved a 100% result in the University of Mumbai. The students have been placed in big organizations like Karamtara Engineering Pvt Ltd, Jindal Steel, Lavino Kapoor Textiles, India Infoline, ICICI Securities etc.
Keeping in mind the need of the students in areas near the St John Technical Campus like Manor, Kelwe, Saphale, Boisar the Aldel Education Trust introduced the mechanical engineering course in the year 2010 in St John College of Engineering and Technology. In 2012, the post SSC diploma in engineering was introduced - mechanical engineering, electronics & telecommunication engineering, with intake of 60 each.
St John Institute of hospitality and catering technology was started in the year 2011 and offers courses in hotel management.
The campus is well equipped with all facilities for the academic and all round development of the students. With the guidance of the trustees, college advisors, governing body and the hard work of the teaching and non-teaching staff members, the St John Technical Campus students have a bright future ahead.
