Anna Hazare Targets Arvind Kejriwal Again; Says Politics Full of Dirt

New Delhi, Sep 30 (PTI): Maintaining strong opposition to entering politics as it is "full of dirt", Anna Hazare today claimed that he did not get answers from Arvind Kejriwal-led group on questions raised by him on how to organise a political alternative.

Hazare, who arrived here this morning and met activists to chalk out the next course of action on an apolitical anti-corruption movement, said the path of "politics is not sacred and it is full of dirt" but the route of agitation is "sacred".

Contending that a big movement and not politics will give the country its future, the activist said he had told the pro-party group that the route of politics was "not the right direction".
"I did not give an alternative. When I was told that an alternative has to be given, I said it is a good idea but I asked them to answer my 5-6 questions (on how to provide an alternative). But I did not get those answers," he told reporters.

Hazare was referring to the questions he raised like how will members of a new party will be selected, where will the money come from and how will the candidates for elections will be selected among others.

The activist's fresh salvo against Kejriwal came two days after he wrote in a blog that the anti-corruption group split due to "politics" within and not because of any attempts by government.

"If I had to enter elections, I would have done it much earlier. I have not even fought Panchayat elections. When I talk about alternative, I am not talking about political alternative," he said.

He said he will be talking to activists, retired bureaucrats and others in the next couple of days about the next course of action.

"Politics is not the right direction. If politics would given us a bright future, then why India once called a golden bird had to mortgage gold. This country will not get the right future from politics," he said.

This is his first visit to the capital after his split with Kejriwal. Hazare will return to Ralegan Siddhi tomorrow.

One can clearly makeout that Annaji & Kiran Bediji have been black mailed by BJP. BJP is day dreaming that due to this agitation, Congress will not come into power and ultimately they will be the winner. My dear countrymen, let us give our full support to Arvind Kejriwal and his party. I salute to his dedication against cleaning of corruption. Unity is strength. We all together can clean this system. Annaji will realise his mistake, sooner or later and accept the decision taken by the Kejriwal. Jai Hind. Jai Lokpal.

This dirt cannot be cleaned by mere sloganeering or fasts. Please join the game in a clean manner and beat the opponents electorally. In short, please support Arvind Kejriwal. If not, do not expect any change for next 100 years!

Annaji’s only worry is that BJP votes should not get divided and not bothered about the country.
Kejriwal’s “India Against Corruption” is likely to launch a political party on October 2. Unlike the system in other political parties, the candidates of his political party will not have to pay Rs 1 Crore or more to get an election ticket. The process for ion will be transparent and the candidates will be chosen from within the common people.
To spread its roots in MP, IAC will deploy fresh volunteers in every village and municipal ward who will educate the rural and urban masses about corruption by the Congress-led UPA government and the BJP ruled states. He will find 543 people with clean image to contest the polls from his party all over India.
    - Candidate should not have a criminal background
    - Should not be facing any charges of corruption
    - What he has done for the people
    - What is his image in public?
He further said that once ed by people, the candidate should give an affidavit saying:
    - Won’t take a red beacon car
    - Won’t take government bungalow
    - Won’t take security
    - Will take monthly salary of Rs 25,000 after winning election
    - No life-long retirement benefits
    - Bank account will be open to public scrutiny
    - Income detains will be made public every year
    - Won’t misuse MPLAD funds, quota discretion
Kejriwal contended that from the peon to the office of the chief minister, corruption is rampant in the country. He said the time has arrived to unseat both the UPA-Centre and the BJP state government.
Don’t you think that there is truth in what he says?
    Jai Hind!
