OIC Hails Pakistan-India Talks


Islamabad, Sep 30 (IANS): The 57-nation Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has praised Pakistan for engaging with India to resolve their disputes, a media report said Sunday.

In a communique after a meeting in New York, foreign ministers of OIC countries commended Pakistan's "readiness to engage with India to resolve all outstanding issues including (the) Jammu and Kashmir dispute", the Dawn newspaper reported.

The OIC, formerly the Organisation of Islamic Conference, was set up in 1969, with its permanent secretariat at Jeddah.
