Islamabad, Oct 7 (IANS): Thirty-two Americans, most of them women, have joined a massive anti-drone rally in Pakistan led by former cricketer Imran Khan.

The campaigners of the US anti-war group Code Pink are here to draw attention of the American public to the impact of the US drone attacks in Pakistan's tribal areas.

The group, which describes itself as a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement, is working to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Geo TV reported.

The British Foreign Office has issued advice to its citizens in Pakistan not to travel to places such as Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan that are on the rally's path.

The rally to South Waziristan, organised by Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, started Saturday from Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and other places.

The Waziristan region, bordering Afghanistan, has been a stronghold of the Taliban and has seen violent clashes between militants and the security forces.

The US has recently intensified its drone strikes against the militants in the region, which has stoked anti-American sentiments in the country.
