Asha Bhosle’s Daughter Varsha Shoots Self, Dies

Mumbai, Oct 8 : Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha Bhosle committed suicide in Mumbai after shooting herself on Monday.

The 50-year-old daughter of renowned playback singer shot herself dead at Mumbai’s Pedder Road based residence ‘Parbhu Kunj’.

Meanmwhile, senior police officials have been rushed to the site and investigations are on.

At present, Asha Bhosle is in Singapore for a concert.

Vrasha had already attempted suicide by consuming overdose of sleeping pills. Varsha was early admitted to Jaslok hospital in Mumbai on September 9, 2008 after she took an overdose of medicine.

A divorcee Varsha was a free-lance journalist and worked with several leading newspapers as columist. She was married to Hemant Kenkre.
Varsha has worked as a playback singer in Hindi and Marathi movies, and appeared in concerts with her mother.

    The psychologists should analyse why the people with inborn talents take extreme steps. Kannada film Actresses like Kalpana, Manjula, and many Telugu & Tamil actresses have committed suicide at very young age, why ?

    It is generally observed that all over the world the extremely Talented persons are always 'impulsive' and at the crucial juncture of their life they tend to take wrong decisions.
    Highly Talented people are also very sensitive, sentimental, highly emotional, especially those who are in Artistic field. Including Merlyn Monroe, Madhubala, Gurudatt many people in Cinema & Drama field committed suicide for emotional reasons. May be because people in the Artistic field live in an Utopian mind-set and make-believe world, and they cannot fathom the harsh realities of life.
    May Varsha's soul RIP.

    It is sad to hear,Rich wealthy peron,daughter of famous singer,suffered from depression, before tried to sucide but saved,and staying alone with medication,
    If she staying with her mother,why her mother let her alone,dint keep any staf with her,
    lonliness made her to do like that, atleast she had someone company with her, may children......to talk,spend life may not happening,and why gun in home of deppressed staying alone person?
    she had wealth,name,fame, but no peace. worldy wealth cannot give peace of mind,

    May her soul rest in peace . Suicide is not the solution for any problem . We have to live with problem. After-all she was not ordinary woman . She was playback singer , jounalist and columnist.

    Very sad to know that she ended her life. I wish she got some help with her depression. Looks like she was going through her menopause. Ladies of her age beware. Get some help as this can happen to you too. May her soul rest in peace.

    People should understand that by ending this body is not the end of life. We are actually 'souls' or 'atma' and soul cannot die. So, if someone commits suicide, the body dies but the soul is still outthere without a body and suffering lot more. If you think your life is waste, go and help poor people who are less fortunate than you for 6 months and then you will feel how fortunate and never even the feeling of suicide. But until we leave this alcohol/drugs etc.. you cannot in your right mind.

    money talents,education want help in the life of hell,peace of mind is first that Only by God.
    sometime love helps but not long, all dont have same kind patiense, understanding knowlege, when we think ourself wise than we are so foolish in the sight of God too.so many educated,like doctors also suicided too

    EVERY SUICIDE CASE BEHIND THERE WILL BE A STRONG REASON.

    THING IS SUICIDERS FAILED TO FIND ANY SOLUTION BEFORE WHEN THEY COMMIT SUICIDE.

    AWARNESS CAMPAIGN IS REQUIRED FOR THIS. EVERY TV CHANNELS, SCHOOL COLLEGES,PUBLIC PLACES MUST PROVIDE SOME AD AGAINST. SO THAT WE CAN AVOID LIKE THIS CASES IN FUTURE.

    God give strength and courage to her loved ones to bear this loss
    specially most people who have problem in marital life, they are suffering in emotion, going in depresssion,no peace at all.after life is hell.all of them are not coming out from that and difficult to live them also so they apply like this step.
    so all has to try to keep healthy marriage, when problem starting only try to solve.if go deeper cannot be.and divorce is not a solution
    If you have healthy marriage than your life is healthy,God grant all to be stay in healthy

    This was the very song sung by Varsha with Asha for the picture'Lootmaar' starring Dev Anand.Sadly she could not apply the same principle in her life.
    Sahee Gaa Baiti Lekin Kuch aur Kar Baiti....
    Hard to find any musicians , especially play back singers who have had no problems in their marital life. Believe me it's a fact! Take the life of any top notch singer and see!
