Mumbai, Oct 9: The centenary celebration of Mangalorean Milagres Society was flagged off at Sharada Hall in Bandra (East) here on Sunday October 7.
Albert W D’Souza, working president of Model cooperative bank limited flagged off the celebrations by lighting a lamp.
John D’Silva, president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Maharashtra, Pius Vas from Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sisilia D’Mello, social worker shared the dais.
On the occasion, Agnello D’Souza remembered the services rendered by the founders and volunteers of the society in the presence of Stany D’Souza, president, Peter Rebero, vice president, Charles P Pereira, chief secretary, Robert Mascarenhas, honorary treasurer, Antony Sequeira, joint secretary, Nilesh Suvaris, joint treasurer.
As part of the entertainment programme, a play ‘Dusmanank Pasun Nirminaka’ was staged by Prince Jacob, famous theater artist from Goa and his team.
Ashok Sequeira welcomed the gathering, Abraham Clemant Lobo compered and Terrance Gomes delivered the vote of thanks.
