Bunts Sangh Mumbai Wins 'Mulund Friends' Kabbadi Tournament

Mumbai, Oct 10: The 2012 Kabbadi tournament organized by Mulund Friends was held at Reserve Police Force (RPF) grounds located in front of Mulund (East) railway station here on Monday October 8.

The tournament was flagged off by Pracharya Seethram R Shetty, former president of Thane Bunts.

On the occasion, Uday Shetty, Ulthoor Mohandas Shetty, Sudhakar Y Shetty, DG Bolar, Satyaven Dhalvi, Ashok S Kotian, Subhash B Shetty lauded the efforts of the organization towards sports.

The Mulund Friends are known for recognizing achievers in various fields such as sports, education and various others.

 














































 

As many as 20 teams participated in the Kabbadi tournament where Bunts Sangh, Mumbai emerged as winners.

The final match was played between Bunts Dombivili Regional A group and Bunts Sangh, Mumbai.

Nagaraj Shetty, former minister was the chief guest for the valedictory function. Speaking on the occasion, Shetty lauded Bunts for their contributions to the society.

Ikala Harish Shetty presided over the valedictory ceremony.

MLA Sardar Thara Singh, Shankar B Shetty, Karunakar Shetty, Dr Satyaprakash Shetty, Surendra A Poojary, Ratnakar R Shetty Mundkur, Chandrashekar Palettady, Shantharam Shetty, Harish Kumar M Shetty, Mahadev Shelar, Likith Shetty, Ranjith Alva, Madhukar Mahtre, Uday Shetty shared the dais and honoured the winners of the tournament.

Suresh Shetty Yeyyadi, president welcomed the gathering, Dayanand Devadiga Karkala, Razaq Ira, Ashok Pakkala compered and Dayanand Devadiga, chief secretary delivered the vote of thanks.

Sunder Shetty, vice president, Sudhir Shetty Thonse, treasurer, Raghuveer Hegde, joint secretary, Praveen Kapu, joint treasurer among others were present.
