Infosys Net Up 24 Percent in Second Quarter


Bangalore, Oct 12 (IANS): Infosys Ltd posted net profit of Rs.2,369 crore (Rs.23.69 billion) for the second quarter (July-Sep) of this fiscal (2012-13), registering year-on-year (YoY) growth of 24.3 percent in rupee terms.

In a regulatory filing Friday, the IT bellwether said its consolidated revenue for the quarter under review (Q2) grew 21.7 percent to Rs.9,858 crore (Rs.98.58 billion), a YoY growth of 21.7 percent.

Under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), net income is up 4.9 percent YoY to $431 million and revenue is 2.9 percent up YoY to $1.80 billion.
